The Russian Film Festival arrives in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay

With a wide proposal with the best of contemporary productions, the Russian Film Festival will come to our country, Chile and Uruguay.

Online and with free access through the Qubit digital platform, This meeting will take place between the 11 June and 4 of July, under the organization of Roskino and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Federal Agency for Partnership Affairs with the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).

Regarding programming, there will be a wide variety for all types of audiences and in addition to feature films, an animated series will be offered. Among the highlights is the film "The Frenchman", a black and white historical drama about Soviet underground life and international love during the Khrushchev Thaw period; "Dr. Liza", a biographical film in tribute to Elizaveta Glinka, one of the leading Russian human rights activists; and "North wind", a fantasy fairy tale by Renata Litvinova, in which the movie characters celebrate New Years continuously.

further, two premieres will be presented: "The whale hunter", About Unrequited Love Between Chukchi Teen And American Webcam Model (Best film in the Le Giornate degli Autori section of the Venice International Film Festival in 2020); and "The Man from Podolsk", of Semyon Serzin, film adaptation of a famous absurd drama play. It will also be part of the festival program "Al filo", a new sports action drama, based on real facts, on rivalry and friendship between fencers of the Russian Olympic team; and “More inside!”, a new comedy by Mikhail Segal. In the animation section, The first season of the popular animated series “Kid-E-Cats” will be included so that the little ones can also be part of the festival.

Films will be subtitled, while the animated series will be dubbed by professionals into Spanish. Both Qubit users, like all those who want to enjoy the Russian Film Festival, will have free access to its programming, on the platform, during the festival.
