The Ministry of Culture of the Nation, through the Cultural Research Coordination area of ​​the Asset Management Directorate, presentó “Sonidos y lenguas – Argentina”, a cultural project dedicated to research, experimentation and preservation of the sound records of our country.

“Sonidos y Lenguas-Argentina” se aloja en una plataforma web de registros sonoros tomados en diferentes soportes y a lo largo del tiempo con el objetivo de acceder y hacer nuevos usos y lecturas de ellos. It brings together various sound pieces obtained during the last hundred years and will continue to develop from the contribution of people, archives and all kinds of institutions that share their records.

In these recordings there are fragments of the wide universe of sounds of the biocultural environment of Argentina, especially from music and verbal language. Muchas de ellas fueron realizadas por antropólogos y musicólogos en la primera mitad del siglo XX y no han sido escuchadas por las comunidades a las que pertenecen.

This project seeks to contribute to sound education, valuing linguistic diversity and disseminating sound records as part of heritage, as well as generating ties that promote the exchange of knowledge in a collaborative way.
