Aiming to share an art night in the city in this moment of social isolation, preventive and mandatory, the Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture announced -as part of the Culture at Home initiatives- to "The Night of the Balconies".

This initiative is simply a day to applaud all those neighboring artists who are already offering their talent. The appointment will take place this Thursday from 19, where you can see balconies, terraces and windows turned into neighborhood scenes.

Ale Lacroix, one of those many neighbors who give away their talent weekly, will be in charge of the management of this event that will be broadcast live from Instagram @bacultura, together with other neighboring artists who will be connecting live from their homes.

Total, will be more than 100 those who will participate in "The Night of the Balconies", they were registered through a neighborhood call and will be part of the proposal of each commune.

Some of these artists will be part of the online broadcast and others will be able to upload their content on the networks with the hashtag #Lanochedelobalcones. Your videos will then be shared on @bacultura.

“Many neighbors have a talent and every once in a while they go out to their balcony, or peek out the window to delight those who live nearby with, for example, his voice, or his guitar, and they get applause in return. Which shows that culture is a bridge, that connects us, and even more in a context like the one we have to live today. Because, With this initiative we wanted to celebrate the talent given to us by these residents of the City who sought creative ways to connect with each other without leaving their homes.”, explained the City's culture minister, Enrique Avogadro.

The complete list of neighboring artists from each commune can be viewed at buenosaires.gob.ar/lanochedelosbalcones so that, who live nearby, come out on your balconies and you can enjoy and applaud them.
