Comes the first week of poetry Avellaneda

From Tuesday 12 and up 16 September will take place the first Poetry Week in Avellaneda, with various activities for all ages and with free admission.

The appointment will be at the Municipal Art Center, of San Martín 797 and of 14 a 20, in order to bring poetry to the community, and with artistic interventions, reading rounds, a bookbinding workshop and discussion tables on the poetics of the song, among other activities.
Avellaneda, land of huge versifiers like Alejandra Pizarnik and Néstor Perlongher, bet on culture from the lyrical universe with the First Poetry Week. The event will focus on local authors and, at once, will present a federal look, because it will open its doors to creators from all over the country. More than twenty poets from various Argentine provinces, -like Hugo Rivella and Fernanda Agüero from Salta, the Mendoza poet Mariela Laudecina and the Catamarca Rosario Andrada.
They will also participate: Carlos Aldazabal (Salta), founder and head of the poetry publishing house El Suri Porfiado and director of the Juan L Ortiz Literary Space of the Cultural Center of Cooperation; Maria Malusardi (Buenos Aires), Mercedes araujo (Mendoza), Alfredo Luna (Catamarca), Gustavo Tisocco(Corrientes) and Gabriela Luzzi(Chubut), among others. Marina Cavalletti, responsible for the meeting, stressed that "poetry is something everyday that enriches us as people and as a society" and added: “With this meeting we want to banish the myth that it is a difficult genre or for a few, in addition to meeting the creators of the municipality, through the contest, that will have a jury of valuable poets ".
