A film festival dedicated especially to running arrives

Running is one of the most popular sports in the country and, in that context, the City of Buenos Aires will carry out an exclusive festival, that can be enjoyed for free and online.

This is the fourth edition of the Buenos Aires Running Film Festival (BARUNFF), first meeting of this kind that will take place between the 21 Y 28 of this month, with productions about this sport and triathlon.

In total there will be 11 the productions that this meeting will offer, which will also have live talks with experts among its extra activities, prizes and many more surprises.

At the same time, during the days before the festival starts, On the Vivamos Cultura website, you can access the best content from previous editions.

This year it will be possible to take a tour through different documentaries from France, Poland, Spain, Algeria, Russia, Canada, Italy, EE.UU. and Argentina. Among the films not to be missed is undoubtedly the national documentary "Como Corre Elisa", the story of Elisa Forti who to her 82 years he returns to his hometown in northern Italy to run a race of 25 km. Directed by Gustavo Gelsberg and Andrés Arbit, It is a ‘road movie’ that shows that age is what you feel in your heart and mind and not what the document says.

Another story that shows that youth is above all a state of mind, is that of Isaías Granado, protagonist of the Spanish documentary “Aitona, Dream time". More than 80 years, the "aitona" Isaías - "grandfather" in Basque language- live running with passion and compete alongside young people in very demanding events. This film directed by Iván García-Martín tries to find out where his innate strength comes from with the contribution of family members, friends and famous people from international athletics such as Martín Fiz and Mayte Martínez.

Outstanding proposals are also the Polish documentary "Run Camino", by Adrian Dmoch, where the athlete Robert Celinski launches himself to travel the Camino de Santiago in a pilgrimage of adventure but mainly of purification and personal search, and the Russian short "Everyday", directed by Nikita Gorelkin, portraying the passion of triathlonist Dimitry Bregeda in his preparation for the tough competitions of the European winter triathlon championship.

During this marathon there will be panels with prominent personalities such as Sofi Cantilo and Belén Couso, ultramarathoners who deliver solidarity, in this case talking with Fernanda Beriau, of the solidarity organization Bufón de Corte; the inexhaustible Elisa Forti with the director of How Elisa Runs, Gustavo Gersberg and Mariela Ortiz, marathonist, with Guille Gallishaw, documentary director 21 Days that has her as the protagonist, among others.
