Werner Bischof's Photographs of America arrive

Since Tuesday 2 August and until 15 October you can enjoy the work of photographer Werner Bischof (1916-1954), in the exhibition Photographs of America, organized by the Isaac Fernández Blanco Museum of Hispano-American Art, together with the Werner Bischof Estate and the Swiss Embassy in the Argentine Republic.

It can be seen from the 19 hours in the Noel Palace of the aforementioned cultural headquarters located on Suipacha street 1422, curated by Marco Bischof, Jorge Cometti and Leila Makarius.

It should be noted that this exhibition (open to the public from Tuesday to Friday from 13 a 19 hours, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a 19) adheres to the XIX Open Encounters Festival of Light
2016. Regarding the entrance, it has a cost of 10 pesos, except on Wednesdays, day when no admission is charged.

Swiss photographer Werner Bishof built his reputation in a photographic studio in Zürich and later documented Europe during the Second World War. In the year 1949 joined the Magnum Agency alongside Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, among other great photographers. Due to his sensitivity and artistic talent, he is considered a classic of black and white photography.. A prodigious mastery of composition and light stands out in his images, as well as his empathy towards those portrayed.
