Elementary school students chose their favorite writers
On Friday 7 to 18 will be held at the Library of Congress of the Nation the ceremony of the award The Favorites of Readers who, organized by the Association of Children and Youth Literature Argentina (ALIJA), will distinguish writers like Silvia Schujer, Liza Porcelli Piussi, Antonio Santa Ana and relatives of the narrator Elsa Bornemann, died in 2013.
This first edition of the contest consisted of the choice of the favorite works of Argentine authors oriented to children's and youth literature made by boys and girls of third and sixth grade of primary school and third year of secondary education from all over the country.
3rd graders chose first place “Creatures of Chanti”(Calibroscope) Y “Loose fears, hens in cage” by Silvia Schujer and Liza Porcelli Piussi (Atlantis), while the 6th graders voted for “Hidden beasts” by Mario Méndez (Guadal) and "Socorro" by Elsa Bornemann (Loqueleo).
Meanwhile, at the secondary level the winner was “The eyes of the Siberian dog”, by Antonio Santa Ana (Rule).
The ceremony will be held in the María Elena Walsh Children's Room in Hipólito Yrigoyen 1750, Buenos aires city, With free entry.
