City museums add to the Day selfie
This Wednesday 16 from January, around the world the #MuseumSelfieDay or Selfie Day in museums, an initiative promoted by Culture Themes (UNESCO) which aims to spread the cultural heritage international.
In that context, from the General Directorate of Heritage, Museums and historic center of the city of Buenos Aires, joined this particular initiative, inviting the public of the Buenos Aires precincts to participate via Twitter and Instagram.
The slogan is to take pictures inside the different museums of the City and upload them together with the hashtag #MuseumSelfie, so that then are shared on social networks by the General Directorate of Museums. further, it is recommended to tag the international account @MuseumSelfieDay.
This proposal was born in the middle of the technological era, where the museums seek to rethink themselves, incorporating tools such as social media and various digital platforms to better connect with your audience. In that frame, The initiative was initially launched by Twitter in January 2014, to publicize galleries, collections and museums of the planet to all art lovers.
