The legendary British band presented the preview of their new and highly anticipated album “Hackney Diamonds”, that will come to light 20 October. The ad was in the historic Hackney Empire and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

The announcement was made by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood at a special press event in the historic Hackney Empire, the epicenter of pioneering art in East London for almost 125 years.

The launch was hosted by US TV star Jimmy Fallon, host of the hit television show "The Tonight Show" and was broadcast worldwide via YouTube.

In this context, the legendary band confirmed the release date of their new album, “Hackney Diamonds”, along with the first single from the album: “Angry”, seven years after “Blue & Lonesome” (2016), which brought together versions of various blues classics.

It is the 24th British album -or 26th American- of the ensemble and the first to include original songs by the legendary English band since the release of “A Bigger Bang”.

“Hackney Diamonds” marks the Stones' first collaboration with New York producer and musician Andrew Watt, who was named Producer of the Year in 2021 at the Grammy Awards and worked alongside figures like Pearl Jam, Iggy Pop y Elton John.

The album is made up of 12 themes, that “will be revealed gradually and was recorded in various locations around the world.

The rocker “Angry” is accompanied by a music video directed by Francois Rousselet, who worked with the Stones on “Ride ‘Em On Down”, from the album “Blue & Lonesome” and starring actress Sydney Sweeney.

The cover art made for “Hackney Diamonds” is the work of digital animator Paulina Almira.
