Sarmiento's travels at the Teatro de la Ribera
Within the framework of the Danza al Borde cycle, in November the play Los Viajes de Sarmiento will be released, a contemporary dance show inspired by the Argentine hero.
The work corresponds to Marina Sarmiento, and it will take place on Saturdays 5, 12 Y 19 and the Sundays 6, 13 Y 20 November at the Teatro de la Ribera (Avenida Pedro de Mendoza 1821), always the 15 hours and with tickets to 50 pesos.
Sarmiento's travels is a creation of the dancer, choreographer and director Marina Sarmiento, with fellow dancer María Eugenia Roces and actresses Cecilia Blanco and Florencia Bergallo. Through an aesthetic contrast during a unique and biographical journey, Sarmiento seeks to stage the tension between the memory of the body and the landscape.
The artistic direction of Danza al Borde corresponds to Diana Theocharidis; while the sound design and live music is by Ezequiel Abregú. The costume design is done by Belén Parra and the playwright is Ezequiel Steinman.
Julieta Benedetto and Natalia Lerussi are in charge of bibliographic advice, while the photograph is by Marcos Crapa, the graphic design is by Martín Molinaro and the lighting by Gonzalo Córdova.
Meanwhile, Exequiel Redchuk is the sound assistant, Nicolás Delavanso the coach in malambo, Débora Diskin is the choreographic collaborator and María Eugenia Roces is the assistant director.
The general production is the responsibility of the Cooperative Los Viajes de Sarmiento and the executive production is by Julieta Benedetto.
