Lucrecia Martel Zama premiere at the Festival of Toronto
“Occupation”, by Lucrecia Martel; “The range”, by Santiago Miter; Y “A kind of family”, by Diego Lerman are some of the Argentine films that will take part in the 40th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, which will develop from 7 al 17 next September and today announced its complete schedule.
It is one of the main film competitions on the international calendar and with a gigantic commercial market, although it retains the particularity of not offering competitive sections and delivering only one prize by public vote.
To the films of Martel -who also travels to Venice-, Miter -which had a preview in Cannes- and Lerman -who competes for the San Sebastian Golden Shell-, they add “Alanis”, Anahí Berneri film starring Sofía Gala: “Tiger”, first film by Silvina Schnicer and the Catalan resident in Buenos Aires Ulises Porra Guardiola; “The future to come”, by Constanza Novick with Dolores Fonzi and Pilar Gamboa; and the short film “Only U.S”, of Matthew Bendersky.
