Mala Suerte will present its new studio album at La Trastienda
"Exploding bars" is the name of Mala Suerte's most recent album that will be presented this Friday 9 September in The Backroom.
After playing to sold-out venues at the Vorterix Theater, the band will return to the Federal Capital to interpret the songs of its most recent record work and also cover the great successes of its repertoire.
Mala Suerte is the most important band of the so-called celtic punk rock in the country, besides being one of the most important in Latin America.
This new album wanders between the irreverent and pioneering Irish folk of The Pogues to the contemporary and furious sound of the North Americans Dropkick Murphys.
Among many nuances and diverse textures there is also room for great songs that shine with guests such as Jorge Serrano (Authentic Decadent), Rubén Castiñeira "El Pepo", el Moska (2 minutes), Mariano Martinez (Attack 77), Sebastián Schachtell (balls) and the Barauskas Toucan (rapists, Pilsen), among others.

Formed in 1990 In Buenos Aires city, Mala Suerte had intense activity in those years until their separation in 1997. In his journey through those years he stepped on emblematic stages such as those of Cemento, the school, Harlequins, among others, and the Obras Sanitarias stadium where he opened for The Ramones in 1995.
In 2017 returned to its original lineup, the reissue of their first albums in a box set “Cerveza, bagpipes and punk rock” and the promise of recording a new album after 20 years.
Within that context, In April of that year the band returned to the stage at the Vorterix Theater and later they were part of the concert given by the Germans Die Toten Hosen at the Obras Sanitarias stadium and also that of the Americans Dropkick Murphys at the Flores Theater..
In their first stage they recorded 3 albums combining punk rock and irish folk: “The maximum emotion” (1992), "Night Symphony" (1994) and “The legacy of the castaways” (1995). His musical references include bands such as The Pogues, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ramones, The dead trousers, Dropkick Murphys y Toy Dolls, among other.
At the end of 2021 released on digital platforms the versions of “Tuesday Morning” by The Pogues and “Strength to Endure” by The Ramones and the 17 March 2022, coinciding with the commemoration of Saint Patrick's Day, advanced the first cut of the new album "St. Patrick Day”.
