Manta, incentive for artisanal productive development

The Ministry of Culture of the Nation opened the call for the Manta: economic incentive for artisans and artisans throughout the country, to promote artisanal production and improve its sustainability, in the context of the health emergency produced by COVID-19.

It is an economic help line for artisans and artisans from all over the country, implemented by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, through the Ministry of Cultural Development and the Argentine Traditional and Innovative Handicrafts Market program (MATRIA). Its purpose is to promote artisanal production and encourage improvements in all aspects that increase its sustainability., in the context of a health emergency due to COVID-19.

Craftsmanship is understood as what is produced by artisans and artisans, either totally by hand, or with the help of hand tools or mechanical means, provided the direct manual contribution is the most important component of the finished product. For its production raw materials are used in their natural or processed state. Any person who exercises his trade expressing his creativity through artisan production is considered a craftsman or artisan., representing a way of life and work.

To apply, They may apply as natural persons to the following scholarship modalities:

– Craftsmen and women over 18 years, of the entire national territory.

– Artisans with Recognition of the Quality of the Artisan Product of the Southern Cone in any of its editions.

The maximum amount awarded per selected project, for both modalities, It is $100.000.

The call will remain open until 4 November 2020.
