Mar Dulce will celebrate its anniversary with a sample of Bianki
As part of the celebration for his twelve years, the Mar Dulce gallery will present the exhibition “Toads, Devils, virgins and jaguars, by the artist Diego Bianchi (Bianki).
With a presentation full of color and that represents the joy of the carnivals of northwestern Argentina, In this way, Mar Dulce will once again present the artist who had the second exhibition at the gallery in May 2010.
In this sample, the public will have the opportunity to appreciate works in stone and metal made in collaboration with local artisans.
The opening date will be Saturday 21 May from 16 and the visits will be from Tuesday to Saturday from 16 a 19 in the enclosure located on Uriarte 1490. This exhibition will remain open until 2 of July.
As they explained from the organization, the current sample is made up of painting, serigraphy, an artist's book, and crafts in stone and metal, designed and intervened.
These works are based on chronicles and research carried out by the artist, and research related to the carnival culture of Northwest Argentina and its mythology, from diving into various essays linked to these issues (Rex González, Ruben Paliari, Cesar Sondereguer, among others).
The artist's first encounter with this universe of myths and symbols occurred more than ten years ago. when he attended, among others, to the landmarks of Tilcara, Maimara, Juella, Uquia and Humahuaca. Places where "the unearthing of Carnival" is a ritual that is increasingly visited by inhabitants of other regions of the country, gaining acolytes who travel thousands of miles to be present at the festivities.
