The Obelisk was once again a privileged witness to the finals of the TangoBA Festival and the World Cup, which on Saturday had its new winners before more than 20 a thousand people.

From very early on, the activities began on the stage held in Diagonal Norte, where to the measure of 2×4 were delighted with the guest orchestras and singers, before the big denouement, where the winners of the World Cup were chosen in the Tango Pista and Tango Stage categories.

Within that context, Cynthia Palacios and Sebastián Bolívar were the big winners in Tango de Pista, while Ricardo Astrada and Constanza Vieyto consecrated themselves in Stage Tango. The first couple won in a category that had 40 participants, while the second was chosen the best among 20.

The great event began with a concert by the singer Nora Roca, with a repertoire made up of works situated between the new guard and the avant-garde of the genre. She was accompanied by the Grupo Volpe Tango Contemporáneo, with Víctor Volpe in the musical direction.

Then, the emblematic Los Reyes del Tango Orchestra was presented, has been for more than 30 years the legacy of the D'Arienzo style around the world. It is distinguished by the danceable and energetic rhythm that it expresses in each performance. The members were part of the golden age of tango and its musicians have participated in orchestras such as Miguel Caló's, Low Pepper, Joseph Libertella and John D’Arienzo, among other. With the voices of Roberto Santi and Daniel Almirón. Sandra Cabal joined as a guest singer, one of the Patagonian artists with the greatest national and international projection.

As for the closing of this edition, was in charge of the company Tango Pasión, in the framework of its anniversary number 30 and with images that covered his entire career.
