More of 800 records in the National and Independent Music Bank
The National Institute of Music (Inamu) announced that a 10 days of the launch of the National Bank of Independent Music - created with the intention of facilitating the access of self-managed artists from all over the country to the media- more than 800 discos.
Through this platform, Groups and soloists can make available their albums and singles published physically or in digital format, generating content that the media can use for their respective programming, thus having musical material that contributes to the fulfillment of the article 65 of the Law of Services Law of Audiovisual Communication (Nº 26.522).
This article establishes a minimum percentage of Argentine music broadcasting on the radio stations of the 30 percent, should be half of that percentage of independent production. The Bank's contents will only be available to the media., not for the general public as it is not a streaming service.
"With the start of the pandemic, an awareness campaign was launched on how important it is to program national music in the media, because with the little possibility of playing live, it is a source of income for artists through the collection of intellectual rights ", explained to Télam the president of Inamu, Diego Boris, at the middle of March, when the creation of this database was announced.

The initiative is one more step in the campaign "For more dissemination of National Music in the media", which included agreements with the National Communications Agency (Enacom) and the Argentine Federation of Independent Musicians (FA-MI).
