"Mission Hip Hop", the first National Urban Music Competition

The Ministry of Culture of the Nation launched "Mission Hip Hop”, an urban music contest in which ten artists will be chosen to be awarded with the production and recording of a song of their own..

With registration time until 15 mayo, soloists and bands from all over the country will be able to present their creations. It should be noted that of the ten winners, two will be chosen from each region of the country.

The objective of the contest is to promote the development of this cultural movement throughout the country by stimulating the production of its derived musical genres., including rap and trap.

Participants must be older than 18 years, native citizens, naturalized or permanent residents. The bases and the registration form can be consulted by clicking here!

The musical themes presented must be original, own authorship, In Spanish language, with a maximum duration of three minutes. Sexist content will not be accepted, xenophobic, violent, racist, discriminatory, or any content that is morally or ethically wrong.

For the selection of winners the jury will assess the musicality and vocal technique; melodic, rhythms and tempo management; Hip Hop references; interpretation; musical identity and artistic flexibility.
