Phil Spector, one of the most important music producers, passed away at 81 in California, where he was serving a murder conviction.

Convicted in 2009 for the death of an actress, Spector died in prison from respiratory complications caused by COVID-19, illness contracted weeks ago.

Throughout his career, Spector worked with artists such as The Beatles, John Lennon, Tina Turner, Leonard Cohen y The Ramones, and patented a well-known recording technique called “wall of sound”, characterized by different layers of sound that created an orchestration effect.
