Through a critical communication with the organizers, the chain expressed that it continues “to believe that the HFPA is committed to a significant reform. But nevertheless, a change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we firmly believe that the HFPA needs time to get it right. ".

In turn it was added: "As such, NBC -sentenced text- will not broadcast the Golden Globes 2022. Assuming the organization executes its plan, we hope to be able to broadcast the program in January 2023 ".

Criticisms against the HPFA circulate in the US media in recent times and they range from unclear ways about financing and use of resources, even the few blacks, latinos, among other ethnic groups, in the entity, as well as the little participation that women have.

After months of criticism, the association presented a reform project last week, which includes a greater representation of other ethnic groups, as well as limits on payments and gift giving to committee members.

Regarding the rating, according to numbers published by Variety, this year's gala lost 11 million viewers, a decrease of more than 50%, that also suffered the televising of the Oscars and, to a lesser extent, the Grammys and the Emmys.
