The legendary Canadian rocker Neil Young joined the list of musical heroes who sold all or part of their musical catalog for millions of dollars.

As happened a short time ago with Bob Dylan, Young decided to transfer the 50 percent of the copyright of your music catalog, comprising some 1.180 songs, to the British investment company Hypnosis Songs Fund.

The specialized magazine Variety indicated that the sale of part of Young's copyright cost about 50 millions of dollars, and that the musician will maintain his ability to authorize the use of his songs in publicity campaigns or political events, among others.

In the last US elections, Young sued Donald Trump's electoral campaign for the unauthorized use of two of his songs, “Rockin’ in the Free World” y “Devil’s Sidewalk”, in numerous campaign events, but the complaint was dismissed.

Young, of 75 years, autor de clásicos comoHeart of Gold”, “Helpless”, Like a Hurricane”, “Old Man”, “Ohio” Y “Cinnamon Girl”, edited some 70 solo albums and as part of the Buffalo Springfield groups, Crazy Horse, y Crosby, Still, Nash and Young.

That production over six decades includes almost 50 studio albums and over 20 with live performances.
