Despite being one of the most advertised titles of the season on the platform, Netflix decided not to move forward with the “Resident Evil” project, the series based on the popular Capcom video game.

From the first moment, The series had caused great expectation because it was the reboot of a franchise that had sold out after six movies and because the streaming platform had bet heavily on the production that told the story of the sisters Jade and Billie Wesker.

At first things went well for the series, since it became the first in trends. But nevertheless, after a short time the product began to fall, added to the criticism of the large number of fans who did not accept this new story that apparently, moved away from the original video game.

For this reason and with only eight chapters and an end more than open for the continuation, Netflix decided not to continue with the series.
