The Association of Cinematographic Chroniclers of Argentina announced the nominations for the Condor de Plata Awards that in its edition number 66 will recognize the best Argentine films released in the season 2017. Alanis by Anahí Berneri, Israel's other brother Adrián Caetano, Nobody Looks at Us by Julia Solomonoff, A kind of family of Diego Lerman and Zama de Lucrecia Martel, compete as the best movies of the past year.
The films with the highest number of nominations in different areas are Zama with 12, The other brother with 11, A kind of family and hunting season with 7, Nobody looks at us and the desert bride with 6 and Alanis and Symphony for Ana with 5.

This year the award for Best Audiovisual for Digital Platform will be awarded again. In this second edition, it was decided to include content made by filmmakers and / or presented at film festivals. Following this premise, they were nominated: Adam Buenos Aires by Juan Villegas, presented at BAFICI (Argentine Public TV); The smallest man in the world by animator Juan Pablo Zaramella (Park Park); The bronze garden of Pablo Fendrik and Hernán Goldfrid (HBO); The blood of the rooster by Mariano and Eric Dawidson, premiered at the Mar del Plata Festival (Netflix) and A Rooster for Aesculapius by Bruno Stagnaro (Telefe).

For this delivery, to be held in August, a total of 208 Argentine movies released from the 1 January 31 from December to 2017 in the commercial and alternative circuit of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Of which 16 They applied for Iberoamerican Film category for being co-led foreign residents in other countries.

The Association of Cinematographic Cronistas de Argentina was founded in 1942 and since then it has developed a constant activity in the diffusion and strengthening of the national cinema, since from the same year of its foundation it has delivered the Silver Condor Awards, the award with the greatest continuity within Argentine cinema.

In the first award ceremony, La guerra gaucho was distinguished as Best Film, by Lucas Demare, while in the last delivery the Condor Prize crowned The Incident Light by Ariel Rotter.
