Between 18 and the 21 In November, the third edition of the Festival of Musical Improvisation with Signs will be held (FIMS), meeting space, training and creation in the field of directed musical improvisation.

With free and free admission -only prior registration will be needed-, The proposal comes from the Music in the Air Civil Association and will take place at the Mariano Moreno and Recoleta cultural centers (where will be the closing from 18 hours).

Throughout its four days of duration, FIMS will present artistic research laboratories, workshops, jams and concerts. All these proposals are aimed at music students of all levels, professional musicians, directors and teachers (who can participate with melodic instruments, harmonics, rhythmic or vocals), as well as artists from other disciplines: actors, dancers, plastic artists, who want to know practices of multidisciplinary creation.

The FIMS is the first Music Improvisation Festival with Signs that takes place in Argentina, already having two editions in which more than 1000 people of our country, Brazil, Spain, France, Mexico, Italy, Chile y Portugal.

It is the only festival that simultaneously brings together the three most widely used directed improvisation methods in the world: Conduction, Soundpainting and Rhythm and Percussion with Signs, in order to consolidate a space for the socialization and democratization of musical knowledge and practices that are not widely spread in our country.

The axis of this third edition focuses on the creation of artistic research laboratories in three methods of directed improvisation used in the world: Conduction, Soundpainting and Method of Rhythm and Percussion with Signs.

On the other hand, workshops will be held for musicians without distinction of instrument or level of training.

The first stage of the festival consists of the creation of the Artistic Research Laboratories (of the 18/11 al 21/11). Three ensembles of musicians and artists will be formed to deepen the different methods of directed improvisation.

The venue for these activities will be the Mariano Moreno Cultural Center (Moreno 431, CABA)

In the second stage of the festival (of the 20/11 al 21/11) artistic training workshops will be held, jam and face-to-face concerts at the Recoleta Cultural Center (June 1930, CABA).

Some of the musician-teachers who will participate in the Festival: Guilherme Peluci (Brazil), Luciano Fernandez, Sebastian Gonzalez, Mariana Debenedetti, Sathya Socolovsky, Manuel Tirso, Gonzalo Arevalo, Carolina Cohen, Maria Fernandez Cullen.
