Between 20 and the 29 November, the XX Ibero-American Festival of Contemporary Theater of Almagro will take place, a meeting dedicated to lovers of the Spanish-speaking performing arts.

Under the motto "Connect to the theater and delight yourself!”, the public will be able to access shows, talks and special events through the website http://www.celcit.es and the links placed on the festival's social networks Instagram and Facebook.

The visualizations of the shows for adults and children, will be available during 24 hours through the virtual VIMEO platform; with just one click you can buy tickets and get the link to enjoy the function. Free shows will also be offered on YouTube.

further, the 20th edition of the festival has prepared a series of special activities, between them, seven thematic colloquia through Zoom, tributes to Juan Carlos Gené, founder of CELCIT; to Chicha Mariani and the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo; and Giampaolo Nalli, founder of the Teatro De Los Andes.

This year groups from Chile participate, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Spain. A tour of the best contemporary theater in Latin America and Spain, honoring the participation of emblematic companies within the festival that throughout these two decades have visited Almagro, marveling locals and foreigners.

Malayerba (Ecuador) with “Instrucciones para abrazar el aire”; Theater of the Andes (Bolivia) with “Mar”; La Machina Theater (Cantabria) with “Olivia y las plumas”; The chimera (Castile and Leon) with “Diálogos de la basura”; Southern Theater (Madrid) with “Calisto”; Albanta (Andalusia) with “Bendita Gloria”; Acting Group 80 (Venezuela) with “Acto cultural”; Viajeinmóvil (Chile) with “Lear y Otelo”, are some of the shows that will be featured in this special anniversary edition.

The shows will be available on the exhibition platforms during 24 hours ; from 12.00 am until 12.00 am the next day.
