READ (Buenos Aires Audiovisual Cluster) and the Cultural Promotion area of ​​the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, with the support of Fundación ITAÚ, launched the Audiovisual Project Contest of the City of Buenos Aires.

It is intended for audiovisual production companies in Buenos Aires, in which a jury of prestigious representatives of the audiovisual industry will evaluate the participating projects. It will be deliver 12 prizes for a total of $5.250.000, with the aim of financing the development of the winning proposals in four different categories: Fiction series, fiction feature films, documentaries and entertainment programs.

This project was selected in the call for Cultural Participation Patronage of the year 2019, the financing program of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires that allows the development of artistic cultural projects.

These initiatives where the public and private sectors cooperate generate alliances and new networks so that the various projects can be materialized and executed.. We continue working so that more and more tools are available for the development of culture in Buenos Aires ".

In January the contest rules will be published and the contest opening date will be announced. Each winner will be able to carry out the development that consists of the generation of the necessary materials for the search for financing the audiovisual project.

BACA continues to present initiatives to generate opportunities in the audiovisual industry. In 2015, next to the City of Buenos Aires, held the first edition of the Audiovisual Project Development Contest. During 2016 Y 2017, BACA organized different networking events and business rounds with national and international buyers. In 2018 Y 2019, with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the City of Buenos Aires, BACA organized BAAV Buenos Aires Audiovisual, an event for the audiovisual community with panel discussions, business rounds and networking activities.
