Promoted by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Argentina, the City of Buenos Aires will receive a new space dedicated exclusively to the diffusion of documentary productions.

The BA Audiovisual area and the Santander Foundation together with Cultural San Martín participate in this space., the venue where these productions can be seen. In that context, the tape that will open the space will be "Treplev", by Esteban Perroud and Estaban Delgado.

Under this initiative there is the objective of generating more movie theaters in the country. In this sense, the room will be added 2 of the Cultural San Martín that through the renovation and digital equipment with DCP technology, becomes a new space dedicated to the documentary genre.

On the other hand, the proposal comprises, also, supervision of the correct operation of the equipment, as well as the curatorship and executive production of special national cinema cycles of the Film Academy for the general public.

Until now, the City of Buenos Aires has some 120 movie screens, but none of them was dedicated exclusively to the exhibition of documentary film. La Sal 2, thanks to its digitization with DCP technology, becomes a unique exhibition space in the City.
