As explained by the director, “always Shakespeare. The comic is tragic and so tragic that it is comic, or what we are capable of doing out of hatred and jealousy”. Within this concept, Buendía explains that there are “four actors, specialists in physical theater, the clown and the burlesque, who interpret the famous tragedy”.
The work "is a performance totally devoid of everyday realism, the physical game and the white verse of the English master face and complement each other in a playful language, hilarious and absurd. Respecting the text of Othelo, his poetry, and dramatic tension, I delve into the intentions of the characters through the comic gag, generating a sinister irony in the tragedy”. I investigate, without solemnity, the relationship between the tragic and the comic, as keys to classical and contemporary theater”.
