This Friday will be the premiere of "Chicken Skin", the work of Mariana Alzaga that was carried out during the 2020 under strict health protocols and that can now be enjoyed through the Alternative Theater platform.

Upside, who also stars in the show with Lucila Tamame, proposes a show that has the particularity of being entirely recorded in a sequence shot without cuts, giving the viewer the feeling of being on stage, in addition to having explored and combined theatrical language with audiovisual language.

"Chicken Skin" will have its premiere at 21 and will be available until the end of March, with tickets that can be purchased through the Alternative Theater platform.

As expressed by the director of the show, "Chicken Skin" was born from "a drowning at dawn. I felt a lot of oppression, I could not sleep, I got up to write and an urgent need for freedom was manifested. A historical need and desire for freedom ".

Alzaga adds that he felt "a suffocation that is not only mine, It is from a part of what we call “the population” and what are thousands of feelings, of sufferings, of frustrated wishes, of defeats. But that night was different, like so many other little moments, where a possible hope grows, the possibility that something changes and that everyone has the same opportunities to choose what life they want and want to build ”.

At the realization level, the work was “a real challenge, resulting in a cinematographic play ”and added: “Although it was performed in a theater, required thinking about the performances, the changing rooms, sound and lights from the audiovisual language ".
