Starring José “El Purre” Giménez Zapiola and Malena Ratner, the play “Pompidú” will arrive on the stage of the Cultural San Martín from 2 of September, written and directed by Catalina Piotti.

In this show, which also has the special participation of Eugenia Bonel, the story proposes a utopian romance that will challenge rational limits and pose the dilemma of reconciling with the past and accepting reality or continuing to embrace an imaginary world that allows one to escape from it.

In that context, Piotti presents three characters: Erica, a psychiatrically unstable young woman living a romance filled with poetry, truths and innocence with a prince who, instead of steed, ride a bike (a prince named Inti who only exists in his head).

Aunt Susana, who took over Erica's care since her mother died and her father moved to Paris with his new family, but now she's sick.

Susana, with the excuse that you should help a friend (because he lives by and for others and is unable to show himself vulnerable) Erica will have no choice but to travel to Paris.

When Inti finds out about his imminent departure, he tries to hold her by stealing the pills and prevent her from stabilizing and thus stop seeing him..

The work will build a Paris for the two of them. A Paris full of art where everything is possible. A Paris where the Mona Lisa can have Frida Kahlo's eyebrows and the flashes of Japanese tourists can disappear in an instant. It is a Paris where the Pompidou museum is Pompidou. A Paris where people are encouraged to live their madness in freedom.

Inti is the voice of many truths. Dice, report and evidence things that are true. But such intensity will lead to Erica reaching very high intensity peaks that will even put her life at risk..

The work can be seen in the Sala Muiño every Thursday (from 20) until the 28 October, with locations that are for sale through the system TuEntrada.com.
