Argentine photographer Marcelo Cugliari reached first place for Argentina in the National Sony World Photography Award, with an urban photograph taken in the Villa Devoto neighborhood that competed with more than 170.000 images of countries around the world.

further, the winning work will be published in the Awards book 2018 and will be exhibited at the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition in London from 20 April to the 6 May together with the work of all the winners, the shortlisted and award-winning photographers.

Cugliari already accumulates other awards on his curriculum, as the first prize of the contest “Living Heritage” (2015), organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, and a mention in the contest “People of my city” (2017), organized by Banco Ciudad. Last year he published his first photography book “Ingrimo”. And he is the director of the interactive web www.fotografosargentinos.org.
