Recently, a couple of images were released referring to the prequel to “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, that will see the light next year.

In that context, Timothee Chalamet was seen for the first time, who will put himself in the shoes of Willy Wonka, the charismatic lead character previously played by Johnny De in Tim Burton's version (2005). It is worth remembering that the first actor to wear the famous chocolatier's suit was Gene Wilder in 1971.

Regarding the prequel, which will be called simply “Wonka”, will be produced by David Heyman and directed by Paul King, with libretto by Simon Rich and Simon Farnaby.
