"Princesita" debuts in the Virtual Room of the Directors Association
The PCI Film Directors Association, through its program Puentes de Cine, presents the premiere in its Virtual Cinema Hall of "Princesita" (Chile, 2017), production to be seen from the 11 June in www.puentesdecine.com.
This is the second work of Marialy Rivas, after his first feature film, "Young and Crazy" (2012), with which he won the award for best screenplay in Sundance.
The film has been shown at festivals like Toronto, San Sebastián or Valdivia and is a co-production between Argentina, Chile and Spain.
"Princesita" is a movie inspired by real events that occurred in southern Chile. Tamara, eleven years old, lives in a sect that is governed by Miguel's rules and beliefs, Their leader, who imposes a fate on the girl: procreate with him his successor. But she falls in love with a partner and that relationship will be at odds with Miguel's purpose.
