With functions and related activities that will begin this Friday and will run until tomorrow, INCAA screens will celebrate the anniversary of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur).

The proposal comes from the entity as a member of the Specialized Meeting of Cinematographic and Audiovisual Authorities of Mercosur (RECAM). En ese contexto se celebrará los 30 years with audiovisual organizations in Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, together with the RECAM Technical Secretariat.

RECAM is Mercosur's consulting body on cinematographic and audiovisual matters, formed by the highest national government authorities on the matter.

Argentina has the Pro Tempore Presidency of RECAM since the beginning of January, For this reason, INCAA organizes the different activities that will take place throughout the year. They will be focused on the circulation of audiovisual works in different exhibition windows; a cycle of round tables for reflection and debate on audiovisual production and integration with participants from the four member states; and a Short Film Contest with prizes such as subtitling and production of accessible copy for the blind and hard of hearing.

The programming of the first activities by the 30 years of Mercosur is the following:

26 of March:

– Discussion table "Integration from action": Actors and actresses who participated in films in international co-production will tell about their experience in the filming, character preparation, the stereotypes, the portuñol, the construction of a regional identity, anecdotes, learnings and the value of integration. Hebe Duarte will participate (Paraguay), Cesar Troncoso (Uruguay), Moro Anghileri (Argentina), Marina Glezer (Argentina) and Jean Pierre Noher (Argentina). Moderator: Lorraine Damonte (Argentina).

– Exhibition of "Las Acacias", by Pablo Giorgelli, on the video-on-demand platform of INCAA and ARSAT, CINE.AR PLAY, with option of subtitles in Portuguese and available for the entire Mercosur region.

Starting at 18.00 hours (Argentina time), on the INCAA YouTube and Facebook channels.

27 of March:

– Presentation of the RECAM Award "30 years of Mercosur", during the award ceremony of the 22nd Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI).

It will be awarded to the best Argentine film in the Official Argentine Competition and will consist of subtitling the selected film in Portuguese and, in case you already have the aforementioned subtitles, the subtitling in english; plus 100 thousand pesos for the rights of the exhibition in the MERCOSUR Network of Digital Rooms and in the CINE AR PLAY platform.

The exhibitions on the CINE.AR PLAY platform will include productions proposed by each Mercosur member country., a cycle of short films from the catalog of the Mercosur Network of Digital Rooms (RSD) in Retina Latina; Mercosur Public Cycle: with four feature films (one per week), that will be exhibited at the RSD; and a Cycle on Public TV in Paraguay, among other activities. The activities that will be carried out during the year will be announced periodically.
