The Tusquets label will publish an unpublished novel by the writer Aurora Venturini (1922-2015), “Girlfriends”, and will reissue his most recognized book “The cousins”, within the framework of an editorial recovery plan that includes 2020 Y 2021 It is proposed to publish other titles of the work of the author from La Plata.

According to what the publisher advanced, the novel “Girlfriends”, never published before, resumes “the character of ‘Las prima’, Yuna Riglos, that she is no longer a girl but a lady detached from that dysfunctional family of the forties and located in a new circle of private relationships”.

In addition to the two books that will hit bookstores next November, Tusquets will continue on 2021 with reissues of “My stepmother's husband”, “We, the Caserta”, “The rails”, “Secret tales” Y “Eva, Alpha and Omega”.

Daughter of Sicilian immigrants, fan of the Estudiantes de La Plata club, dog and spider lover, proud friend of Eva Perón, Venturini belatedly transcended the world of letters by obtaining the award given by Página 12 for his novel “The cousins”, of which she said at the time with the biting and incisive style that characterized her: “The cousins ​​is me. In this days, within the framework of the Filba Literature Festival, a film about his life is being shown, “Beatriz Portinari. A documentary about Aurora Venturini” which had the participation of the writer from La Plata and was directed by Fernando Krapp and Agustina Massa.
