This Saturday 5 December, the doors of the Museum of the History of Costume will reopen, It will be with prior reservation and you can see the sample "Randa Witness", under the curatorship of Alejandra Mizrahi.

On the other hand, the same exhibition can be enjoyed virtually one day before and starting at 16, in order to introduce the public to the universe of the randa tucumana. It will be available through the official YouTube channel of the traditional Buenos Aires venue.

Through a statement, the museum highlights the importance of this virtual proposal, since "it is complemented with traditional exhibition forms" and in turn "manages to enable open access to our collection to disseminate and preserve our cultural heritage".

In this way, the museum manages to "maintain institutional contact with the community on a large scale in federal and even international terms.".

During the transmission, the public will have access to the universe of the randa through a web page that gathers resources of all kinds: testimonies of the randeras, maps, educational booklets and audio guides, among others.

On the other hand, in its online format, the show will feature a large number of proposals, as debates and conferences that will take place from all the museum's social networks.

Regarding the face-to-face opening, a screen will be part of the center of the first room, that will not only show the textile but also tells the stories of the weavers, the hands made invisible by history, hidden in every knot.

Likewise, the public will find typologies, ways in which the randa that accounts for ways of inhabiting the world is established. This lace is taken by contemporary designers and artists emphasizing its aesthetic dimension.
