Negative audience record in the broadcast of the Oscars
The recent delivery of the Oscars, the most important award that cinematography has internationally, recorded one of its worst records as it was the least watched broadcast in the history of this meeting.
This was marked by the prestigious consulting firm Nielsen, who reported that this award ceremony that had the film "Nomadland" as the main protagonist had a total of 9,85 million viewers, a 58 percent less than in the previous edition.
Beyond this major fall, from the ABC network - in charge of the transmission of the awards to the cinema- the total sale of advertising space was confirmed at a cost of 2 million dollars for each 30 seconds of space.
It should be remembered that Sunday's gala presented a particular physiognomy, with candidates and winners scattered in different cities; and a low public presence at the central ceremony held in Los Angeles.
