Virtual tour to celebrate the anniversary of the Teatro Colón
This Tuesday the Teatro Colón, one of the most important cultural venues in the country, celebrate their 113 years of life and will celebrate them through a virtual tour to learn more about its history and remember the great shows that happened in recent seasons.
On the other hand, the renowned venue will add a series of courses that will be taught by prestigious masters of the theater chosen more than once as the best for opera in the world.
Regarding this content, It can be seen from this Tuesday on its virtual platform and will be part of the official celebrations.
According to a press release issued by the Colón, “a 113 years of the opening of the current headquarters of our first colosseum, we invite the public to tour the digital stage with great opera productions, ballet and concerts ".
In this context, you can enjoy audiovisual content with outstanding works such as "La Bohéme", “Rigoletto”, “Aida”, "Norma" and "La Traviata", in addition to the ballets "Swan Lake", "The sleeping beauty of the forest", "The Merry Widow", "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Nutcracker".
With free and free access, the public will be able to enjoy from their home the concert of Martha Argerich with Zubin Mehta at the head of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra; of the lyrical recitals of Aida Garifullina and Juan Diego Florez; and the subscription concerts of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, among many other opera performances, ballet and concerts that dazzled the public at the Colón.
Likewise, to enrich the tour will be available the documentaries "Making Turandot" and "Making La Bohéme" and other audiovisual pieces that review the life and work of Ludwig van Beethoven and a cycle of “Musicians from home” with the stable musicians of the Colón who interpret great musical pieces for “bring culture closer to the public”, among other proposals.
The classes, that will be tariffed and will be carried out between 14 June and 10 of July, will address different themes around the history and analysis of opera, singing practice, stage dance and design, and the acquisition of knowledge in the theatrical trades.
