"The man who sold the world" is one of David Bowie's iconic albums and that, this year, meets 50 years of being published. By such a way, Bowie's third job was put up for sale again, but with some important peculiarities: will be released as the artist himself originally intended. That is to say, under the name "Metrobolist", in honor of the movie "Metropolis", of 1927.

When commenting on your idea, Bowie - passed away in 2016- received the rejection of Mercury Records that, at the last minute, changed the name (and without consulting) of the plate.

On the other hand, the album will have more changes, like vinyl cover art, created by Mike Weller and only used for the US market.

Illustration, with a ‘cowboy’ inspired by the figure of actor John Wayne in front of a psychiatric clinic, had been discarded for the European and rest of the world rafts in favor of a photo of Bowie in a blue dress, and now it will be the face of the album.

"Metrobolist" has been remixed by original producer Tony Visconti, except on the track “After All”, that he considered that he did not need to perfect himself.

further, the album featured the special collaboration of guitarist Mick Ronson, who would participate in Bowie's later work during the decade of 1970.

The record will have a black vinyl version of 180 grams, as well as in gold and white in limited editions.
