With a face-to-face and a virtual edition that will be developed for free, the International Environmental Film Festival (FINCA) prepares its return in this sixth edition.

Under the motto #ConcienciaBiodiversa, the Festival is borne by the DerHumALC Multimedia Institute (IMD) and will take place between 1 and the 12 June 2022.

FINCA will have projections, special activities, workshops, debates and many reunions. First, of the 1 al 5 June, the venues for this edition will be the hall of the Alliance Française (Avenida Córdoba 946, CABA) and the York Cinema Theater (Juan Bautista Alberdi 895 of olive trees).

On the other hand, movies and online activities will also continue to take place 1 al 12 June with talks, discussions and seminars, where you can enjoy the exchange via streaming with national and international directors and filmmakers.

through his motto, this year the festival proposes to make visible the major socio-environmental conflicts through critical cinema committed to environmental problems, creating spaces for collective construction that constitute a sustainable alternative to hegemonic economic models.

The programing, crossed by the thematic axis of biodiversity, will be divided into 11 sections (Biodiversity, climate crisis, Ecofeminism, Econsciousness and sustainability, Finita, energy horizons, Youth, Mother Earth, Food Sovereignty, We are Water, FICDH-Human Rights); and the Guest Festival Window: Another Way Film Festival. More of 60 national and international audiovisual works that will be screened in theaters and will be available on the online platform.

The prizes that will be awarded in the official competition are divided into the following categories: Official International Feature Film Competition, Official Competition for International Short and Medium-Length Films and Official Competition for Latin American Documentaries.
