The death of Carlos Busqued took writers by surprise, friends and social media users, who regretted the early departure of the author of "Under this tremendous sun" and "Magnetized".

Between skepticism and recognition for the news of the death that occurred yesterday, the author's name quickly became a trend. "I would like someone to say that it is not true but yes, with solo 50 years Carlos Busqued died, author of several of the best novels that Argentine literature gave in recent years. What a pity. Hug your family and friends. How sad", wrote, for example, Claudia Piñeiro.

As expressed by Piñeiro, several others - among hundreds of authors, critics, artists, journalists and readers- they manifested in the same way.

The editorial Blatt&Ríos posted “There are very close friends of his who confirm the death of Carlos Busqued. We chatted many times; during the pandemic: by phone. We know you had finished the first draft of a new novel. Over here we are going to miss him a lot”.

For the writer Félix Bruzzone “there will never be one like Carlos Busqued. When I return to that cemetery where with Jorge Consiglio and him we leave that little piece of paper that said “do it right” at the grave of a certain Young, I'm going to look for it and if I can't find it, I'm going to write another one that says "do it very well.". Thanks, Carlos”.

Meanwhile, Guillermo Martínez rated his books “Under this tremendous sun” Y “Magnetized” as “memorable” and maintained that his departure is a “great loss for our literature”, while the critic Daniel Molina, in that same line, also rated it as “a huge writer” and highlighted those two novels “essential”. “I'm sad. He was a nice guy, a divine”, wrote. Another who manifested the same was the editor Antonio Santa Ana, who wrote: “How sad the death of Carlos Busqued”.

“I am extremely sorry for the death of Carlos Busqued, my condolences to his family and friends. We'll see each other there, under this tremendous sun!” wrote the journalist and writer Juan Carrá. And Juan Sklar tweeted: “Carlos Busqued died. Meanwhile false prophet of light, he wrote about the only thing that really interests: the filth of being human. Hopefully at least people loot the bookstores and sell out, again, Under this tremendous sun”.

Mariana Enriquez told on Twitter: “Once in Chaco he told me: “let's see Bittel's grave, the only Chaco who could be president”. I told him I can't have a talk. What asshole. He sent me a photo from the cemetery. Is it wrong to tell anecdotes? Is it vanity? I do not care”.

Meanwhile, the journalist and writer Reynado Sietecase defined it as a “notable writer” and a committed intellectual” and held that “we will miss his cynical and brave gaze”. Also at the institutional level, the Ministry of Culture of the Nation stated: “Argentine literature has just lost a great writer with the death of Carlos Busqued. Author of “Under this tremendous sun” Y “Magnetized”, I had 50 years and was born in Roque Sáenz Peña, Chaco. A sad and very early loss to culture”.
