From the 22 of May, award-winning director Hanoch Levin will present on the Area stage 623 the show "Requiem", his most personal work.

“Requiem” (Hashkavá) It is the most represented Israeli text in the world, combining real actors and puppets. Marcelo Moncarz is in charge of adapting the text, which is starred by Roberto Mosca, Elena Petraglia, Cristian Sabaz, Marcelo Rodriguez and Paula Vautier. They are joined by the puppeteers Ariadna Bufano, Andrea Baamonde and Melissa Joss.

As Levin himself explained regarding what was written, "Life was taking me and I accepted. I stood in long lines to receive some sugar and bread" and adds: “The lines were always long and my turn never came”.

In "Requiem" an old couple, a young mother and a coachman will be the protagonists in a frame of illness and lamentation. Within that context, drunks and prostitutes, in search of apparent happiness. angels, redeeming them from all that seems insurmountable.

The director of this show was inspired by the characters in three short stories by Anton Chekhov. Due, the viewer will enjoy a beautiful fairy tale about death that reflects on life, the one that is, and also what could have been.
