Seeing Asspera live is a unique experience. It is a journey that goes from the visual, going through the absurd and bizarre. Maybe, it would be as if the horror master John Carpenter would dabble in comedy and here he would find his ideal actors.

But beyond any description, behind it all there is a heavy band - or bizarre metal as they are called- that offers a powerful and fun proposal, thanks to the communion between the brothers Julián and Pit Barret (or rather Rockardo Asspero and 3,14 Whom) on guitar and bass, respectively, Nicolas Polo (Nicogollo Stump) on drums and Richar Asspero (Rodrigo Santamaría) in the voice.

La Vereda had the opportunity to access a relaxed chat with Richard who spoke of the balance of 2016, the new version album, next projects and the tour that the band will give almost all over the country.

They closed the year with a great concert, who had great guests. What balance did you make of the past year and what do you expect for this year that begins?

effectively, last year we closed with a tremendous show at the Vorterix Theater with Adrián Barilari, where Susana Asspera was also present (better known as Tarja Turunen). It was a beautiful night full of emotion where people filled the place and shared with us every madness. The balance was very positive, we toured many cities and provinces that we did not know. We recorded a record of re-versions of our own songs in other genres titled "Incogibles" that we really liked to do. We edit a new DVD "Without depending on anyone" from the hands of our brothers Fox and Zapata. In summary, very moved by luck and happy to do what our balls are singing (our way of existence).

Just as athletes do a preseason to start the year of competition, How do you prepare a band whose members have so many side projects to tour several provinces?

Asspera is our main project which we love very much. Every year we meet in the Rubio Salvaje room (lives in a conventillo in Villa La Verga, our hometown), uncover 66 beers (cabala), we repeat Diego's goal for the English on an old black and white television, and between whistles and flutes we crackle every step, every disease that comes to mind to face every year. As you will see, nothing from another world

Are there any places that produce them, maybe, a little more anxiety to go, for example Viedma after so many years?

All cities cause us anxiety to go. We have a great time wherever we go and that is essential for any project (whatever the bouquet). To Viedma for example we are not going 9 years, I remember it was one of our first shows there. We want to continue touring our beloved country and also have the possibility (if the stars cross) to travel Latin America and know the ass of the world too (which we are very interested in doing).

In those specific cases, How do you think they will see their followers? They surely grew up with the band.

Year after year we grow with a lot of effort and work and all Assperians (as we call them) have faithfully accompanied us. We are very proud of the communion that exists between the band and the people. We always try to do our best. Surely more than a boy or girl who heard the band a thousand years ago grew up and was already a mom or a dad, Either she graduated from university or she implanted boobs or a sex change ... we treasure them in the same way because they were, they are and will be part of the path we walk.

The versions of Incogibles are great. How was that proposal born? Did you find any of them better than their original version?

Asspera's essays are very relaxed. We always do musical stupid things. We improvise things all the time, we change the lyrics and styles to our songs. We really enjoyed those moments. Thanks to this, we had no worse idea than to compile part of all those delusions and put them on a disc. In "Incogibles" we were able to experiment and have fun with other genres. We go from Rap to Tango, From Folklore to Industrial, from Grindcore to the ballad. We recorded an album for fun, and we are very happy.

How would you define the experience of seeing them live?

I've seen great artists live. Current artists and who are no longer. greatly giants and the total under Artists. But I have a fucking disgrace could never see live Asspera (laughs) -good, I once saw a little bit when I get to sing with people a topic (Gambeta)-. There I feel a little bit to see that shit is (laughs) and I was very excited, It must be that we are doing things right or people are crazier than us (more laughter).

More than meet the goal of drawing a smile on stage in difficult times. In that context, What character of politics, the show or whatever, it could be a member of Asspera?

The reality is Asspera. Always we take actual items and took them to our world. We fought the bastards and everyday mishaps from humor. That is our tool and the reward is the smile of who likes what we do. We would have or would have loved to Tangalanga is part of the band, but as the doctor left too many smiles and teachings to the world.

Can you anticipate something about the sound and the orientation of the new album?

The album will be called La Concha $ Dio and is very spicy, I can not say anything if my cabal is not broken.

What we will show in the Maximus and what the feelings are the fact of opening the main stage?

We will use all the time necessary to break heads. List of violent themes and poguera, energy and probably always will keep surprises to share.

Maximus will be broken ass with both metal!
