"Cloudy river", Best Film at the Cosquín Independent Film Festival

Directed by the Argentine Tatiana Mazú González, “Río Turbio” won the Best Film award at the closing of the tenth edition of the International Independent Film Festival of Cosquín (FICIC).

During the closing ceremony of the meeting that was held online, it was also screened - in world premiere quality- "The floor of the wind", by Gloria Peirano and Gustavo Fontán.

This issue, which began 29 of April, had an average of 12 thousand viewers connected per day, reaffirming the quality of the programming of the meeting that emerged in the aforementioned city of Cordoba.

Besides "Rio Turbio", another of the national productions, as “Everything that is forgotten in an instant”, by Richard Shpuntoff, had a special mention from the jury.

Among the shorts was consecrated “Tribute to the work of Philip Henry Gosse”, by Pablo Martín Weber, Y “Otacustas”, by the Colombian Mercedes Gaviria, had a special mention.

In the national school shorts competition, “Cucaracha”, by Agustín Touriño, got the main prize, Y “52nd Street”, by Pablo Ceccarelli, with the special mention.

There were also unofficial awards, such as the one delivered by Cine.ar-INCAA to “Tribute to the work of Philip Henry Goss” as best short film; which was also recognized by the Association of Cinematographic Chroniclers of Argentina, with special mention to “A body exploded into a thousand pieces”, by Martín Sappia.

Meanwhile, the Argentine Network of Audiovisual Festivals and Samples awarded the Edgardo award “Beanie” Bechara El Khoury a “From the fire of the furnaces”, by Hernán Paganini, as best school short, in this case of the Enerc; and the Association of Audiovisual Producers of Córdoba crowned “Cucaracha”, by Agustín Touriño, as the best film made in that province.
