With online and free features from 6 and up 8 of August, the festival “¡Fiesta! Latin American Theater on the Net ”will close its current edition, organized by CELCIT.

The work chosen to end the cycle is "The heart of the onion", a production of the Malayerba Group, from Ecuador.

This show has the dramaturgy and direction of Arístides Vargas and the performances of Javier Arcentales, Gerson War, Cristina Marchán, Valentina ortiz, Manuela Romoleroux and Joselino Suntaxi, plus the voices of Jabiera Guerra and Elena Vargas.

The Ecuadorian group - formed in Quito in 1980- will perform a play based on the story by Gunter Grass, "The still life of the onions"; in fact it is a very small fragment of the novel “The tin drum”.

In that context, Malayerba has followed the procedure of a plastic exercise: the scenes are sketches approximating a still life and at the same time variations of the Grass story, conforming an aesthetic universe typical of the world of painting, where strength resides in a dynamic aesthetic given by bodies, light and an atmosphere of no progression, as if the characters were living in a state of inexplicable paralysis.

The work will be available from 12 (Argentina hour), until 23 of the 8 of August, doing Click here!
