The awards season in Hollywood got off to a spectacular start with the 82nd edition of the Golden Globes 2025, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

The ceremony, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), was hosted by Nikki Glaser, who marked a milestone by becoming the first woman to lead this prestigious gala.

The evening was full of emotions and tributes. Ted Danson, remembered for “Cheers” and “The Good Place”, received the Carol Burnett Award in recognition of her outstanding career in television. Meanwhile, the acclaimed Viola Davis, member of the exclusive EGOT group (Emmy winner, Grammy, Oscar y Tony), was honored with the Cecil B Award. DeMille for his exceptional contribution to cinema, joining legends like Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.

In the cinematographic field, “Emilia Pérez”, with a cast led by Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña, shone by winning the award for Best Musical or Comedy Film, although of his ten nominations he only made four. “The Brutalist”, meanwhile, dominated as Best Dramatic Film and added three victories in total.
