Recently, the edition 18 of the Arturo Jauretche Awards for culture, where they were delivered 11 distinctions to personalities from different professional fields.

These statuettes are awarded by the Higher Institute Dr. Arturo Jauretche de Merlo, directed by the lawyer Marco Roselli, with the intention of recognizing contributions to the national culture.

The awards were given within the framework of an act led by the writer Ernesto Jauretche, where the words of welcome were added by Professor Marco Roselli, in the presence of all the winners.

Among the words that resounded in the annex of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation, Carlos Aira highlighted the importance of receiving an award such as the Jauretche because "the most valuable recognition is that of peers" and urged the State to finance more projects and popular media.

Among the winners, Mario Romero was very excited to receive the award for the defense of trade union rights. Another of the winners was Mario Secco, Mayor of Ensenada, who highlighted his militancy and the importance of "putting the body to ideas" in the day-to-day municipal management to make an "efficient and competitive State". The lifetime achievement award went to Leo Vinci, who proudly remembered that his 15 years modulated the bust of Perón, a memory that always accompanies him. The artist defined himself as a preacher of the Peronist doctrine through cultic activity.
