with the motto “Stealing time from lockdown” and focused on the effects of the pandemic on jail and writing, the 7th National Meeting of Writing in Prison is held online (ENEC) 2020 between 7 and the 9 October, organized by the Extension Program in Prisons of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires.

During the three days of the open and free meeting on the networks, the program includes “thematic panels, book presentation, micro-interventions, readings, exhibitions of publications and audiovisual material made in prison, and a virtual fair of products made by cooperatives and social projects of relatives of detainees and released persons”, the organizers indicated through a statement.

The day is organized by the Prison Outreach Program - an interdisciplinary team led by Juan Pablo Parchuc- of the Secretariat of University Extension, the Department of Letters and the Paco Urondo University Cultural Center of the faculty.

The 7 October at 18 the first panel begins with the presentation of the book “write in jail. Reading and writing practices and experiences in confinement contexts, of the Outreach Program in Prisons”, continues Thursday 8 at the same time with the panel “all lockdowns, the confinement: the pandemic in prisons” and Friday at 17 book launch is scheduled “makes live, make die. Folds of a closure that spreads” of the Editorial Collective Tinta Revuelta -YoNoFui.

At the same time, on that last day at 18 the panel will be developed “The noise of the saucepans: (of)information, moral panic and punitivism”.
