The sixth edition of The Night of the Temples in the City will be held
This Saturday 4 December will come a new edition - the sixth- from The Night of the Temples, the meeting that allows to learn more about the religious and architectural culture of the City.
The conference will take place between the 20 and the 0 hours, with free access. It should be noted that the previous edition was virtually carried out, because of the pandemic.
This time, different temples of the city reopen their doors, where you can also participate in the different proposals for cultural activities, gastronomic and artistic that each one will offer.
The opening act will feature a musical show by the Argentina Gospel Singers choir, in the Manuel Belgrano square (Oath and Return of Obligado) the same saturday 4 December at 18:30.
In total there will be 80 the temples of different creeds that will be part of the meeting, from different parts of the City organized by zones, so that the neighbors can set up their tours. There will be five guided tours: Belgrano; Chinatown; Palermo; Center and Almagro; to perform tonight that is already a classic in our city, and that reflects the religious diversity that exists in Buenos Aires and that characterizes us so much.
This year also adds the particularity that the routes can be consulted, what temples we have nearby according to our location and what are the activities offered through "Boti", the City chatbot.
"For the sixth consecutive year, The Night of the Temples highlights diversity, the encounter and interreligious coexistence that enriches and characterizes Buenos Aires. This year we have the great joy of celebrating it in person again, having done the previous edition virtually due to the context of the pandemic ", highlighted the General Director of Entities and Cults, Federico Pugliese.
At the same time, Veby Martinez, Responsible for Special Projects of the Vice Head of Government pointed out that "it makes us very happy to see how the neighbors await the Night of the Temples to enjoy it with all their senses and share the meeting in coexistence and respect".
Pugliese ended by saying: "We are eager to meet again to live tonight together with the neighbors and all the faith communities that will open their doors with great enthusiasm".
In the same line, the City's culture minister, Enrique Avogadro, He held: “It is a great opportunity to learn about the traditions of faith and cults that coexist in the City of Buenos Aires as part of its immense cultural heritage.”.
One night to know in detail temples such as the Palermo Mosque or the Al Mosque – Ahmad where you can learn about Islamic culture; the Metropolitan Cathedral located in the historic center of Buenos Aires; the Freedom Temple of the Israelite Congregation of the Argentine Republic; the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery and the San Salvador Anglican Church in the Belgrano neighborhood, among many others from different faith communities
