From Friday 17 of July, the artist Sebastián Zelaya will open the Mini Virtual Gallery with the exhibition "Space Fictions", that can be enjoyed through the official Instagram account of CEC Rosario (@cec_rosario) and on the web www.cecrosario.gob.ar.

The inauguration will take place from 19 hours, moment in which they will be able to appreciate "the sample of someone who works modalities of art that nuclearly involve photography", as explained by Roberto Echen, CEC visual arts curator.

"This that we are doing in times of 'quarantine', Echen continues, "Does not appear as double (substitute without loophole) of that. It is the possibility that allows us the language and the artistic modality that we mentioned to continue producing mini galleries in these times ”.

En ese contexto el curador señala que “esa modalidad tuvo desde el vamos un vínculo con este tipo de imágenes: digitization is at the base of the production of those who have formed and are part of this space (even if your photos have an analog base)”.

"I cannot speak - for that and for other reasons - of" virtual ". I think that it is truly another way that assumes –thanks to the initiative of the communication area of the CEC– this space to continue with its way of existing: to enable the visibility of emerging productions that we believe deserve to be seen and enjoyed ”, ended.

Regarding Zelaya's work, Echen points out that "it is linked to the invol involuntary sculptures’ of Dalí-Brassai "and" although you cannot not agree with that statement, the case is that Zelaya seeks (with the look, with the camera) certain special kind of those ‘sculptures’. Search and find".
