Between Friday 30 September and Sunday 9 October, the National Historical Museum will carry out a gastronomic proposal entitled Historical Food Week.

This initiative will also come with a series of activities closely related to the history of food and cooking that include tastings, dissemination of old recipes, workshops, special guided tours, a gourmet runner, live radio and much more.

Within this context you can enjoy the proposal "Stories at the table", of the Greatest Hits temporary exhibit.

On the other hand, the restaurants, still life, Notable cafes and bars in San Telmo confirmed their participation, so each one of them will offer a dish within their menu made from a traditional recipe documented from the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century.

In this way, the public that visits the traditional Buenos Aires venue will have the possibility, after your visit to the museum, of touring the gastronomic circuit in the San Telmo neighborhood and choosing a “Historical Menu”.

Likewise, will be part of Carina Perticone Historic Food Week, gastronomic professional, semiologist and cultural analyst, who will make a tour focused on the pieces of the collection linked to eating and drinking and a talk about a history of cuisine in this territory and the common places that surround it.
